《斯卡布羅集市》的第二句唱到了四種花朵，香芹、鼠尾草、迷迭香和百里香(Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme)，分別代表愛情的甜蜜，力量，忠誠和勇氣。而目前《斯卡布羅集市》最著名的版本，也就是西蒙與加芬克爾(Simon and Garfunkel)為電影《畢業生》所創作的主題曲(當年曾超過了披頭士樂隊的白色專輯，登上了1968年暢銷歌曲排行榜的榜首)，主要使用了“原版”中“Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme”這一小部分。
