　　500 miles歌手介紹

　　1960年那段時間，美國幾個主要的民謠藝術(shù)節(jié)Hedy幾乎都參加過，而且有過多個獨(dú)奏會。她演唱的一些歌曲，比如：Mister Froggie、Single Girl、The Wife of Usher's Well、Cotton Mill Girls、Lord Thomas and Fair Ellender、The House Carpenter等等 ，都著實令聽眾癡迷不已。幾年后，她開始頻頻游歷英格蘭和德國，還在倫敦的七年里，拜訪了許多鄉(xiāng)村民謠俱樂部。在游歷歐洲時也不忘出席Cambridge Folk Festival和第一次的Keele Folk Festival。

　　1970年秋天，Hedy從倫敦搬到了紐約州立大學(xué)石溪分校，整理早期祖母的留下的素材，并開始研究David Lewin(大衛(wèi)·盧因)的作品。90年代初，在丈夫去世后，她從普林斯頓大學(xué)搬到了賓夕法尼亞州的費(fèi)城，并在那里的Eisteddfod Festival上做了最后一次獻(xiàn)唱。

　　晚年，她不幸患了癌癥，聲帶受損，她不得不停下工作。離世之前她居住在紐約長島，她的生活一直由女兒照顧。Hedy West最終因癌癥，于2005年7月3日離開人世 。
