　　押尾光太郎的作品被廣泛地用在影視背景音樂中。影片《小島之戀》中作為電影主題音樂。

　　贏得ADLIB雜志評選的2002年國內最佳新人藝人獎。

　　獲得2002年大阪市藝術文化節的嘉獎。

　　押尾先是跟中川砂仁學吉他，后來20多歲時，在東京跟岡崎倫典學了約三年，其實他自己有說，除了受這兩位影響外，他還受到另外一位日本吉他大師小松原俊影響很深。

　　此外像Tuck Andress、Michael Hedges、Alex De Grassi都是影響他很深的國外吉他手，我們也的確可以在他的彈奏中看到他融合了他們的手法。
